Muscat | 08 November 2023: Oman Post, a member of Asyad Group, announced the launch of a commemorative postal collection titled "1/4 Anna in the Reign of Sultans of Oman". The collection sheds light on the history of coin minting in the Sultanate and reflects Oman Post's efforts to document the history of the Sultanate through commemorative stamps and unique postal products. The distinctive collection will be available for public purchase at Oman Post's Stamps and Collectibles shop at the Opera Galleria, along with numerous other collectibles.

Muscat | 08 November 2023: Oman Post, part of the Asyad Group, has announced the successful launch and implementation of its innovative automated parcel sorting machine. The cutting-edge technology has contributed to the improvement of operational efficiency by 43% by the end of August 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, in addition to enhancing levels of customer satisfaction.
Launching the new sortation technology highlights Oman Post’s commitment to implementing the latest technology to expedite the processing of postal materials, improve productivity, and increase the efficiency of delivering parcels to customers. The most advanced parcel sorting machine in Oman utilizes new A.I. technology and advanced data-driven solutions to fully automate the sortation process. It is capable of handling up to 6,000 packages per hour, sorted over up to 12 lines per run, with a maximum weight of 20 Kg per parcel and maximum sizes of 40 cm height and 50 cm width per parcel. In addition to recording the weight of the shipment and optical reading of the data related to the shipment and comparing it with the International postal system (IPS), and Delivery Management Software (Fareye) system to validate the recorded data. The complete package traceability makes it easier for customers to track their parcels in real time.
