MUSCAT, 15 December 2023 : Oman Post, a member of Asyad Group, unveiled a commemorative joint stamp, honoring the brotherly ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The stamp also illustrates the newly opened 725 km Rub AlKhali Highway (Empty Quarter Road), a direct route linking Oman to Saudi Arabia which emphasizes the importance in facilitating trade and cultural exchange. This road signifies the economic growth, construction developments, and prosperity in both countries. Overhead planes represent the strong bonds between the two countries and readiness to defend each other. All of these marks make the stamp a tool that represents strong connectivity and mutual progress between the two countries.
Sheikh Ibrahim bin Sultan Alhosni, Acting CEO of Oman Post & Asyad Express, expressed, “We are pleased today to issue this joint postage stamp, which commemorates the depth of the strong brotherhood that goes deep in history between the two brotherly countries, as well as symbolizes our common aspirations and ambitions for the future towards development and prosperity of the two countries.”
