OMAN POST & ASYAD EXPRESS PUTS PEN TO PAPER WITH FIRST SME IN OMAN TO OPEN SERVICE POSTAL TOUCHPOINT

Oman Post & Asyad Express a member of Asyad Group, signed a precedent-setting agreement with “One Way Travel Tourism LLC”, to provide a service touchpoint, making it the first small and medium enterprise (SME) in Oman to open its doors to Oman Post’s broad spectrum of postal and logistics services’ customers.

The signing ceremony held on 22nd February 2022 feeds into Oman Post & Asyad Express’s sustainability agenda that aims to enhance the business ecosystem, creating growth opportunities for Omani SMEs, supporting entrepreneurship, and activating the participation of SMEs in the logistics sector.    

On this occasion, Oman Post & Asyad Express CEO, Nasser Al Sharji commented, “We have always taken it upon ourselves to empower SMEs. Since the day we launched “Tomooh”, as a niche incubator program, our goal has been to create the right infrastructure and opportunities for SMEs and startups, allowing them to maximise their quality of service and ramp up their revenues to grow and expand their customer base.”

“As part of Asyad Group’s sustainability strategy for the year 2022, we will continue to provide our logistics support and identify key areas of growth for these enterprises to expand our retail presence across the Sultanate, exploring channels that help us add value to our customers and unlock Oman Post’s potential while fulfilling our ICV commitments”, he added.

On his part, One Way Travel and Tourism Agency CEO, Khamis Al Kharusi stated, “As a tourist company, our partnership with Oman Post & Asyad Express’s translates our customer-focused approach that puts our customer experience first. Setting a postal services touchpoint in our premises is an opportunity for us to offer market-ready and viable services that optimise logistics value chains”.

Oman Post & Asyad Express has so far succeeded, in record time, to commission 55 new touchpoints in partnership with private sector institutions, and more service touchpoints are expected to be launched in 2022.
